Three-week course

Congratulations on completing week 2 of the course!

Although today is the last day of the second week and we will rest in Viparita Karani (legs on the wall), or relax in any comfortable position, today's practice is not less important. We will focus on breathing and its relation with mental states.

Today we will try to focus on these moments when our breathing stops. Please don't force your breath to stop though. Instead, notice sort moments when breathing naturally ceases. These breaks can be very short lasting for a fraction of second, or sometimes may naturally extend a little bit longer. This usually happens when the body is very relaxed and at ease, and has nothing to do with shortened breath when we are stressed.

Notice what happens with the mind, when breath ceases for a short while. Continue the exercise for 5 or 10 minutes, or as long as it is enjoyable.
